Changes......

So yes I realize this post is a little late in the year or I'm way ahead however you want to look at it.
I have been evaluating my life lately and I'm just not happy with myself or where I am. Granted there are some things that I can't change, however there are a lot that I can change.

1. Drink more water: yes I know that sounds silly, but I hate drinking water and I typically will go all day without drinking anything except for whatever it is I took my medicine with that morning. This week however I have drank 3 gallons of water. One Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and am currently working on mine for today.

2. Exercise more: There was a time that I would run 4 or 5 miles just for the heck of it, now I can hardly run 1 without stopping. This week I ran a little over 1 mile on Monday and 2 yesterday. I plan on running again tomorrow. With the awful blisters I get it is super hard for me to run everyday so every other will work for now. I go at lunch because I only get 30 mins and I don't have anyone to go to lunch with and I normally just sit at my desk and end up working. So why not go run.

3. Read my Bible more: At one point I was reading my Bible every single night before bed one chapter out of a book a night, and I was a much happier person. I guess my excuse has been that I stubbed my big toe because really I don't have one for not doing it more often. The last few morning I have woken up way before my alarm and instead of looking at Facebook I have been reading the Bible. My days seem to go a lot better/

4. Pay off debt: While in college I didn't make the most money and getting bills paid and caught up was a hassle. Now with a more steady income I am finally able to get caught up, I mentioned earlier this week about picking up a part time job and I am excited to start so that I can continue to pay things off. Then put all my energy into those evils student loans for the next 360 months (feel the air leave as I get punched in the gut) and saving some money.

5. Be thankful for this season: It is so hard for me to just be content with where God has me and I am going to really start working on focusing on all the things I do have in my life as opposed to all the things I don't have. I am thankful I have a job, thankful my car still runs, thankful that I have my family and friends, thankful for my health, and thankful for the bad days because it makes the good days so much sweeter. :)

Extra Mooolah

I honestly thought that after graduation the money train would not be struggling as hard as it was in college. But I was like most other things in my life WRONG.....sad day......

There are a lot of things that I'm wanting right now and a lot of things I am wanting to get caught up on and get paid off (credit cards and all that fun crap that comes with adulting).

I am REALLY wanting a new vehicle, I've had mine for almost 10 years and it has almost 300 thousand miles on it, yes you read that correctly, but in all honesty currently I don't NEED a new one (props for knowing the difference in a want and a need). My car is still running fine and it's paid off.

Next is student loans those haven't started just yet but they will and oh will they start. For the next 20 years every extra penny I owe will go to that. Hence, another reason I don't want to purchase a car just yet, I need to make sure money is sufficient and I won't stretch myself to thin.

I had been thinking about getting a part time job, but was really picky with where I wanted to work. I knew I didn't want to wait tables, I knew I didn't want to work in retail where they have stupid Black Friday hours. Well a few days of thinking where I wanted to work (I always knew I wanted to work at James Avery) an email came through that James Avery was hiring seasonal help, I applied, I interviewed, and got offered the job that day!!

I start next Sunday and I can't wait!!!! I am really praying that they keep me on after the holidays, because the extra money all year round would be great!

I'm not just excited for the extra money I'm also excited about getting to meet new people, I've been here for about 6 months and still don't really know any more people than I did before I moved down here and I'm pumped that I won't just go home and watch Netflix all evening.

Soccer and Dye Jobs

This weekend I went home to see my family, it will probably my last free full weekend for awhile (stay tuned on why). Friday night after sitting in HORRIBLE traffic I met my parents and sister for dinner and enjoyed a much needed strawberry margarita.

Saturday morning my nephew had a soccer game, which they lost but I'm glad I got to go to at least one more before the season ends.

Then I went to get my hair did :p. It's hard to say that Fall is here in Texas because well it really isn't, but it is on its way (fingers crossed) so I decided to go darker with my hair.

Before

After

Saturday night I went with my parents to a friends house and had a blast sitting outside enjoying the weather and drinking. The view was beautiful as well.
It may not be much to some but it's home to me :) that's probably why I think it's perfect.

What a Weekend

Yeah Yeah I know it's Wednesday and I'm recapping the weekend. It's my blog and I do what I want :P

Friday night I had a girls night at my house equipped with wine, girl talk, and make-overs. I have some of the best friends ever and they are always willing to help me out. I had a Mary Kay party and we all had so much fun. Getting to play with make-up and having girl talk.

Saturday was a BEAUTIFUL day here in Houston and we took advantage of it and did a little patio drinking sitting.

After we had entirely to much to drink, I went with my friend to do her bridal portraits, (no you don't get to see them until December) where we decided that we really needed to take wine with us.

And because I'm Klassy with a K, I drank mine out of a blender bottle, which totally cancels out the calories since I drank it in that :P.

I mean how FREAKIN' cute is he?!?!?!!?
Sunday, we had a company party and had a really great turn out, we had a bit of a hiccup with changing dates but even with that we had about 55 people make it. And another beautiful day you just couldn't waste it inside.

Then I got really really sunburnt :( and my arms look the exact same........

So other than still being sun burned and a super busy weekend it was a very enjoyable! I got to hang out with a lot of friends and with our busy lives that doesn't get to happen often :)
